This is a one-of-a-kind blank book created in wood and brass by nationally-known artist David Huang. Wooden boards hinged with brass, brass accents on the spine and an inlaid tree branch design on the front cover. The spine contains a hidden pencil box (when the front cover is opened completely the lid of the pencil box slides open). Measures 7 1/2 by 9 by 4 1/2-inches; the textblock alone measures 2 3/4-inches thick. Fine with only the faintest signs of shelf wear and some offsetting on the first and last leaves from the wood stain on the interior of the covers. SIGNED by Huang on the inside of the back cover. David Haung, a nationally-known artist, sculptor and metalsmith, has been featured in Metalsmith Magazine, American Craft Magazine, 500 Metal Vessels (Lark Books), and has had his work featured in dozens of exhibitions.
